What an incredible weekend at the Theatre Dance Association Regional Competition held on 7 & 8 August! Our talented dancers, aged 7–17, performed beautifully under the eyes of two experienced judges — and their hard work truly paid off.

Results we’re celebrating:
✨ 8 Gold – 1st Places
✨ 1 Gold – 2nd Place
✨ 12 Silver – 1st Places
✨ 5 Silver – 2nd Places

A special highlight was Elizabeth Pomeroy-Ward, who received the Regional Baby Star Award at the judges’ discretion.

These achievements mean our dancers have now qualified for the Move National Dance Competition in Cape Town this September and they are beyond excited to “move” onto the national stage!

And we have a sweet sixteen in the studio! Never too old to wear the "birthday tiara". Many Happy Returns, Celyn!!!

Congratulations to Allegra van Zyl for her portrayal of her demi-character solo "Tinman ", earning her A++ (95% and above)!! Well done, Allegra!!!

Congratulations to Mikayla van Rooyen for her achievements in the recent South Cape Dance Festival. Mikayla was awarded a Gold, Very High Gold for her demi-character and classical solos respectively. For her National solo dance Mikayla received an A+(90% and above), with her being awarded the winner for Best National Dancer in the senior division.

Whispers in Silence winning Best Modern Group Senior section. Adjudicator loved it and it performed at the Gala evening!!

last week 14 intrepid students competed in the Cape Dance Festival. They all enjoyed themselves immensely, some more than others😉
I am extremely proud of their achievements with the following results:

3x very High Gold (88 & 89%)

It is heart warming to have a graduated dancer bring her little girl to ballet lessons! Peyton's first Budding Ballerina lesson yesterday, proud Mommy moment. An added bonus, she has inherited her mom's gorgeous pointe!!!
