🎉 Huge congratulations to Mae, Elizabeth, and Layla Pomeroy-Ward! 🎉
Representing the Carmen School of Dance, these talented dancers brought home fantastic results from the MOVE! National Dance Competition held in Cape Town from 23–27 September.

Highlights from the competition:
🏆 The Pomeroy-Ward Trio (Mae, Elizabeth, and Layla): Delivered a beautiful performance of their gold-qualifying demi-character trio, The Portrait Painter, taking 1st place in their section!

🏆 Elizabeth Pomeroy-Ward: Placed 1st for her gold-qualifying demi-character solo (alongside a strong performance in her classical solo).
To top off an incredible week, Elizabeth was named the Most Outstanding Ballet Dancer of the competition in the primary school division! 🌟

This special honor continues a remarkable streak for Elizabeth this year, following her awards as Best Junior Ballet Dancer at the South Cape Dance Festival and Best National Dance (in her age category) at the Nelson Mandela Bay Dance Festival.
We are so proud of Mae, Elizabeth, and Layla for their hard work, dedication, and amazing achievements on stage! 🩰✨

Another successful project came to an end today. This project was completely funded by our learners/parents fundraising efforts, Back-a-Buddy sponsors and anonymous donations. Now that is something to be very grateful for. Ons is so dankbaar vir almal se deelname, maak nie saak hoe groot of hoe klein nie- elke sent het gehelp.
