Manufacturing excellence is not only about technology and processes it is about people.
TWIMS’ breakfast seminar on Gender, Generation and Leadership in the Manufacturing Sector brought together a diverse panel to share industry insights, lived experiences and leadership perspectives that cannot be fully understood through a single viewpoint.
Held during Women’s Month, the conversation created space to reflect on gender equity: acknowledging the progress made, recognising the work that remains and thinking honestly about where we are headed.
Celebrating women’s achievements is essential. It creates role models, inspires future generations and makes women’s contributions visible. However, if we focus only on individual success stories, we risk overlooking the systems that continue to shape and limit the experiences of many women.
We must ask not only who has succeeded, but also who remains excluded and what must change so that success is no longer the exception.
