💛 The Happy Days Story | Chapter Three 💛
The little things are actually the big things.
Because sometimes the biggest milestones don’t look like milestones at all.
A little hand pouring its own water.
A child choosing where they would like to work.
A friend helping another friend.
A question that makes us stop and wonder.
A tower that falls down…
and the decision to build it again.
A little voice saying,
“I can do it myself.”
These moments might seem small to us.
But to a child, they are everything.
Because childhood isn’t just about learning letters and numbers.
It’s about discovering,
“I can.”
It’s about learning to make choices.
To try.
To make mistakes.
To try again.
To ask questions.
To solve problems.
To help others.
To discover the world around them with curious little eyes.
And sometimes, the biggest milestones don’t look like milestones at all.
They look like muddy shoes.
A carefully carried cup.
A friend being helped into their jacket.
A puzzle finally finding its place.
A child proudly showing us something they’ve created.
A quiet moment of concentration.
A belly laugh shared with a friend.
And that beautiful moment when a child looks up and says,
“Look what I did!”
At Happy Days, we notice these moments.
We celebrate them.
We give children the time and space to discover what they are capable of — rather than always doing things for them.
Because confidence doesn’t appear overnight.
It grows quietly…
one little success at a time.
🌱 One choice.
One challenge.
One discovery.
One “I did it!”
One little step towards becoming the wonderfully capable person they are growing into.
And perhaps that’s the magic of childhood.
The things that seem little to us…
are often the things that mean the most.
