Currently based in Durban; we are an NPO that predominantly reaches schools across South Africa as well as other countries such as China and the Ukraine. The educational and creative content we produce aims to steer young people towards empowering life choices - assisting them in building emotional competencies and a moral compass that will set them up to be effective leaders and key participants

in their communities and our society at large. We believe that by helping the next generation to make brave choices, we will succeed in helping them create better futures - not only for themselves, but for the world at large.

Teachers see it first. Long before a counsellor does, and long before it reaches the principal’s office.

Which means one of the most effective ways to support learner wellbeing is to equip the adults who are already there every day, in the classroom, on the sports field, alongside them.

Trulife's “Safe to Learn” teacher training is SACE-accredited and equips your whole staff to recognise the early warning signs of mental distress or abuse, respond appropriately, and report safeguarding concerns. Available online or in person over 10 micro-units (approximately 4 hours total length). 5 CPD points and certificates on completion.

You can confiscate the v**e. You can't confiscate the reason it started.

Behind almost every addiction issue in a school lies something deeper — pressure to belong, anxiety with nowhere to go, boredom, or a pain learners don't talk about.

So we don't treat it in isolation. Trulife teaches learners how addiction actually works in the brain, and works on the mental health and peer pressure underneath it. Substances, alcohol, gaming, po*******hy — the same levers, the same conversation.
