After the most incredible, restorative break, we're back home 🫶

We ventured off to Orange River, which sits along the border of Namibia.

It was the perfect place for us to do exactly what we had planned to: find silence, bird watch, star gaze, absorb sunsets and sunrises, and reconnect with each other.

I have returned home feeling so energised and ready to continue the exciting journey with our book, Tunnel Vision.

After a busy and beautiful book tour in Gauteng, Mike and I are on a well-earned break.

We've gone off the grid (zero signal intended) - so you won't hear from us for a few days while we take some time to recharge.

Thank you to Pretoria FM for such a warm welcome and for hosting Mike and I as we shared about our book Tunnel Vision ✨

How incredible it was to speak on Pretoria FM radio. And how absolutely scary.

Just before I walked into Pretoria FM, I honestly felt like I might burst into tears, the emotion felt that big.

I knew I had a choice. I could let the fear tell me to turn around, or I could take my fear with me, open that studio door and step inside.

So I thats what I did. And something beautiful happened.

Once I was inside, I felt a deep sense of peace and calm. The thing I had been so afraid of was nowhere near as frightening as I had imagined.

It’s a funny thing about fear. Sometimes the fear of the challenge is far greater than the challenge itself.

Today reminded me that being brave doesn’t mean you aren’t afraid. It means you can say,

“I am afraid… and I’m going to take the next step anyway.”

And for me today… I opened that studio door.
And what was waiting for me on the other side was incredible.

Some moments feel wonderfully full circle.

Many years ago, the Springs Advertiser shared the story of my healing. Springs is where I was born, and where that chapter of my journey unfolded.

Now, all these years later, they'll be sharing another chapter of the same story, this time, through the pages of Tunnel Vision.

There's something incredibly special about returning to where it all began and seeing how God continues to write the story.

I'm looking forward to sharing this next chapter of the Tunnel Vision journey with the readers of 💜
