We loved spending time at Kloof Baptist Church this term, sharing about the wonderful work Neema is doing in the community. Thank you, KBC, for your faithful support and for the beautiful campus where we have the privilege of working week after week. We couldn't do what we do without you!

Two of the schools where we are currently running projects began the Core Scheme syllabus of our Gateway into Reading (GiR) programme this year. This component of GiR systematically introduces learners to key phonics concepts while developing comprehension skills that strengthen reading for meaning. We are so encouraged by the dedication and commitment of these educators. They are true superheroes, making a lasting difference in the lives of their learners every day!

Teaching the small groups of learners at Gillitts Primary is one of the highlights of our week! It is a privilege to engage with these children through our Gateway into Reading (GiR) programme, equipping them to become independent readers who can read with understanding, confidence, and meaning.

We had a fantastic morning training the Grade 1 educators, from 13 schools across the KwaDukuza Circuit, in Step 2 of the Foundation Steps syllabus of our Gateway into Reading programme. Their enthusiasm, participation, and willingness to learn were truly encouraging. It was a joy to spend the morning together, investing in the foundations of literacy and learning.

Our quarterly training conference days in August were truly special. Nothing brings us greater joy than opening our doors, to welcome people with the same heart, from across the province and sharing the gift of our Gateway into Reading programme. Together, we are equipping more educators and changing more young lives through the power of literacy.
