The benefits of balancing on a BALANCE BEAM, helps children strengthen their muscles, core and helps them to maintain stability β a very important skill to help them engage in playful activities such as jumping, hopping and skipping.
When a child walks slowly across a balance beam, their body is developing balance and learning where it is in space. It requires concentration, hand eye co ordination, muscular strength, endurance and maintaining posture.
How to Teach this developmental skill of walking on a beam:
β Child to extend arms to the side
β Look straight ahead, not down
β Take slow and steady steps
β Hold their hand for support as they take their first steps
β Ensure trust
β Judging their stability - slowly start letting go of all support
β They will start to walk across fully confident

BRAIN POWER - Did you know that 80% of a childβs brain develops by age 3?
And almost full grown by age 5?
Reading, talking and singing are great exercises for a babyβs brain that prepare them for a lifetime of learning.
Here are a few fun and easy ways to boost your toddler's brain power....
πΆ Sing a song to your child. While youβre singing, move your hands or body to go along with the song. Sing the song a few times to see if your child will repeat the words or the movements, too.
π§ Describe your favorite animal to your child. Add sounds and movement to help them guess.
π Snuggle up and read a bedtime story. When reading, play with your tone of voice and add gestures/expressions that goes along with the story.
π Sing the ABCs with your child. If your child is speaking, let them say each letter. As you sing, name the words that start with that letter.
π Play a game of "I spy". When youβre in the car or walking with your child, describe what you see and let them guess.
πββοΈ Just another reason to recognize how
essential preschool teachers are.

S P R I N G D A Y means to embrace the new season with fun and excitement. Today we decided to explore your wacky wardrobes and have a day at school
Spontaneous opportunities for fun happen on a regular basis β as teachers, we choose to maximize these moments.
πββοΈ This is my happy place. Having fun with my children and just living a fulfilling life ππΌ π€©
We are born with a complete understanding of fun, which seems to fade over time, as we grow older π
I say we can learn a thing, or more from our children.

EFFECTIVE PARENTING - Raising children is one of the trickiest and most fulfilling jobs in the world.
Here's a few tips to help you through your parental journey...
#π€© Boost your child's self-esteem
Children start developing their sense of self as babies, when they see themselves through their parents' eyes. Your tone of voice, body language, and every expression is absorbed by your children. Choose your words carefully and be compassionate.
#ππΌ Be consistent with your discipline
Discipline is necessary in every household.
A common mistake parents make is failure to follow through with the consequences. You can't discipline children on something one day and ignore it the next. Being consistent teaches them what you expect.
#π΅ Make time for your children
There is probably nothing children would like more than spending time with you... quality time, with no phones, no TV and no distractions. Children appreciate and enjoy simple time together like chatting about their day, storytime, playing games or even by including them in making a meal.
#π« Be a good role model
Children learn a lot about how to act by watching their parents. The younger they are, the more they learn from you. Model the traits you wish to see in your children: respect, friendliness, honesty, kindness, tolerance, etc. Above all, treat your children the way you expect other people to treat you.
#π£ Teach them the importance of communication
Parents who express emotions, explain and reason with their children allow them to understand your expectations of them. Involve your family in current happenings; children who participate in decisions are more motivated to carry them out.
#β€ Show that your love is unconditional
Parents are responsible for correcting and guiding their children and when you have to confront your child, avoid blaming or criticizing them. Instead, strive to nurture and encourage, even when disciplining your children. Make sure they know what you expect from them, and that you still love them no matter what.
