We’re halfway through Women’s Month, and for the rest of August, we’re turning our attention to the women who are still becoming; our girls🌷

They carry more than we sometimes realise; strength, courage, faith, kindness and pieces of the women who came before them.

Over the next two weeks, our RAISING HER series is about identity, what we pass on, and helping our girls know who they are in a world constantly telling them who they should be.

Because celebrating women is also about being intentional with the women we are raising. 💗

You can’t change the world… but you can prepare your daughter to stand firm in it.

Today’s girls are growing up in a world that constantly tells them their worth is found in appearance, popularity and fitting in.

But if we don’t intentionally teach our daughters God’s truth, the world will gladly teach them its version instead.

That’s why we’re launching The Confidence Co. Winter Reading Challenge; sharing books that help girls build confidence rooted in Christ.

🇿🇦 A Blessed Youth Day, South Africa 🇿🇦

Today is more than a public holiday.

It is a day to remember the young people whose courage helped shape the South Africa our children are growing up in today.

As we reflect on the events of 16 June 1976, we are reminded that young people have always had the power to influence the future. Their voices mattered then, and they matter now.

What a blessing it is to live in a country where our children can learn, dream, grow, and pursue opportunities that many fought hard to make possible.

May we never take for granted the opportunities our children have today, nor forget the young people whose courage helped make them possible.

At Girl-School, we believe one of the greatest ways to honour the youth of yesterday is to invest in the youth of today.

May we raise girls who know their worth.
Girls who use their voices wisely.
Girls who lead with courage and kindness.
Girls who understand that they have the power to make a difference in the world around them.

Today we remember.
Today we give thanks.
And today we commit to building a brighter future for the generations still to come.

FRIDAY💕 The exams are finally over (well for most of our girls)!

The alarm clocks, the pressure , stress, late-night studying, the “Have you finished revising?” conversations.

This weekend, put the books away for a moment.

Make the tea.
Pour the hot chocolate.
Grab a blanket.
And spend a little time together.
( 🤫 perhaps time for that play station..)

Not talking about marks for now, and definitely not talking about results.

Just talking.

Because sometimes what our daughters need most isn’t another lesson…

It’s connection. ☕💗
