Can you lose demerit points for not obeying the law? This question was put to me this morning. My response:
If you dont obey the law, demerits will apply and your driver's license could eventually be suspended for a certain time period or even canceled.

Which is one of the areas I focus on when teaching learners how to drive. It's all about attitude and character and choosing to do what is right.

Reading an RTMC article, it seems as if the learner license test pass rate is only about 40%. There are various suggested reasons why but I'm not sure that I'm in agreement with everything.

However, the GOOD NEWS is that the pass rate for learners who have done a study course with me is about 98%. That not wishful thinking, it's a simple fact.

If you're wanting to pass 1st time, do the smart thing and let me help you.

Not for the first time I've been behind a code C1(truck) learner driver traveling at 17kms for 500 meters or more and Im unable to overtake because of solid white lines.
In my book, at that slow speed they should not be driving on the road.

At that speed, they are:
1. Not confident enough to drive on the road
2. Not competent or ready for the road
3. Going to have frustrated drivers behind you who will overtake dangerously - you don't want that

I received this message from my learner who passed her driving test today on her first attempt.
For me, the best part is the positive impact I made on her life...it's more than just teaching people to drive. It's also about making a difference for them as people.

Hello Oom I just want to say thank you again for everything Oom taught me ... I honestly couldn't of done it without Ooms patience .... Encouragement and belief in me especially on the days when my nerves got the better of me... .. Oom didn't just teach me how to drive Oom taught me how to stay calm... confident.... And trust myself on the road ... Passing my licence today is such a proud moment for me and Oom played a big role in that.... I'll always be grateful for the time ... effort and support Oom gave me... Thank you for helping me reach this milestone Oom.. I'll never forget it.😊
