In August 2026, Mr Mhlaba will proudly represent the Eastern Cape Province in the Educator Category at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Oral History National Eliminations, to be hosted in Gauteng Province. This achievement reflects his commitment to preserving South Africa's history, promoting oral history education, and inspiring educators and learners alike.
Through his passion for education, heritage, and community development, Mr Aphelele Mhlaba continues to make a meaningful impact in the lives of learners and the broader South African community.
