Celebrating Pi Day in Style 💚

Our talented Grade 8 & 9 learners showed incredible creativity during Friday’s Funky Maths Hat Competition, held in celebration of Pi Day.

Each hat was uniquely designed using recycled materials, proving that maths, creativity, and sustainability make a brilliant combination ♻️
From colourful equations to clever mathematical designs, our learners truly impressed us with their innovative ideas.

Congratulations to our winners and a big well done to everyone who participated and made the day so memorable.

Northern Cape High celebrates Pi Day/ International Day of Mathematics 💚

Today we celebrated the amazing world of mathematics on 3.14 — a special day dedicated to the famous number π (pi), which represents the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.

From classrooms to real life, maths helps us solve problems, think creatively and understand the world around us. Today we encourage our learners to embrace the fun side of numbers, challenge their thinking, and remember that maths is everywhere!

✨ Fun fact: π goes on forever without repeating — mathematicians have calculated trillions of digits!

EKAPA Mine Outreach 💚

Learners from the Rotary Interact Club at Northern Cape High School came together to show support for the brave rescue teams working tirelessly at Ekapa Mine.

Our Interactors proudly delivered bottled water to the mine rescuers as a small gesture of appreciation for the dedication and hard work they continue to show during this challenging time.

We are incredibly proud of our learners for living out the values of service, compassion, and community support.
