KAM celebrates 33 years of excellence!

For 33 years, Kimberley Academy of Music has been inspiring a love for music and developing musicians through expert tuition from highly qualified and experienced teachers.

We offer:

Weekly instrumental and vocal lessons

Preparation for ABRSM, UNISA and Trinity examinations
- ⁠
Participation in local Arts Festivals and national competitions

Students can also join our instrumental ensembles, including the KAM Jazz Band, Strings, Woodwind, Brass and Recorder groups, as well as our vocal ensembles: Kimberley Children’s Choir, KAM Boys’ Choir and Ad Libitum Chorale.

Music is for everyone! We welcome learners from pre-school age at Fun with Music through to after-school learners, making music fun while building lifelong skills.

The three KAM choirs, Ad Libitum Chorale, Kimberley Children’s Choir and KAM Boys’ Choir had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Choral Celebration Festival Series No. 11 and 12 on 30 and 31 May 2026 at City of Hope Church.

What a privilege to share the stage with so many talented Kimberley choirs and to be part of such a beautiful celebration of choral music in our city.

A special highlight for KCC and the KAM Boys’ Choir was attending the Elevate Workshops presented by master conductor Michael Angelo Cloete, whose insight, experience, and passion left a lasting impression on our singers, conductors, and accompanists.

A heartfelt thank you to Alta Maree and the Choral Celebration Network team for your dedication, passion, and hard work in making this inspiring experience possible.
