The staff of Jannie Brink Special School celebrated Slipper Day 2026 with so many caring people in South Africa. All to benefit of the Reach for a Dream Foundation. Yes, we wore slippers, but teacher Lauren wore SLIPPERS. In the 2nd photo, she and her two daughters are wearing their beautiful slippers.

Internasionale Verpleegkundige Week word van 6 tot 12 Mei gevier. Internasionale Verpleegkundige Dag word jaarliks op 12 Mei gevier, omdat Florence Nightingale haar verjaarsdag op 12 Mei gevier het. Suster Buffel is ons skool se Florence Nightingale. Juffrou Antoinette Fourie het vandag die potplant namens die skool aan suster Buffel oorhandig. Sy het ook 'n woordjie van waardering namens die personeel.en leerders aan suster Buffel oorgedra.

Our school participates in the 'Be a buddy, not a bully' programme of Autism South Africa, in collaboration with the Nelson Madela's Children's Fund. Here, teacher Zanelle van der Westhuizen emphasizes the good behaviour that her learners demonstrated to us with this Bingo game, provided by Mrs Elfreda Baartman (Autism South Africa representative in the Western Cape and Northern Cape), during training last year. They enjoy the Bingo game and good behaviour is learned and consolidated through play.

Let us never forget that our learners matter. They have feelings and are easily hurt. Let us LOVE them, care for them and let them be the best children they can be... to grow up to be responsible adults who can make a difference in people's lives.💝
