🏆 A PROUD MOMENT FOR OUR SCHOOL! 🏆
We are incredibly proud of our talented learners, Bontle Moreothata and Thabang Vykens, who represented our school at the Provincial rounds for the National Moot Court Competition! ⚖️👏

Going up against some of the best young legal minds in the province, Bontle and Thabang displayed confidence, dedication, critical thinking, teamwork and exceptional advocacy skills.

They came so close to victory, finishing in an outstanding 6th position provincially— just TWO spots away from the top four! 🎉🔥

While the final result may not have been the victory they hoped for, 6th place at a such an intense competition is an achievement worth celebrating. Their performance is a reflection of the countless hours of preparation, determination and commitment they put into the competition.

🌟 Congratulations, Bontle and Thabang! 🌟

You have made your school, teachers, fellow learners and families incredibly proud. Your journey is only beginning, and we have no doubt that greater achievements lie ahead!

We would like to take this moment and appreciate Ms Molekwane for preparing the learners and ensuring that they compete at the highest level .

Keep shining. Keep arguing. Keep believing. The future is yours! ⚖️💙

STRICT NOTICE TO ALL PARENTS & GUARDIANS

NO CELL PHONES AT SCHOOL — STRICTLY ENFORCED!

Dear Parents & Guardians,

Kindly ensure that NO LEARNER BRINGS A CELL PHONE TO SCHOOL.

This rule is being strictly enforced to protect our learners and to maintain a safe, focused and respectful learning environment.

ONE OF OUR KEY CONCERNS IS CYBERBULLYING.
We do NOT want our learners using cell phones to bully, threaten, embarrass or harass others online.

We also want to prevent the unauthorised taking and sharing of photos, videos and personal information without permission.

IMPORTANT:

Any learner found in possession of a cell phone at school will have the device CONFISCATED.

The phone will be securely kept by the school and WILL ONLY BE RETURNED ON THE LAST DAY OF THE TERM.

Please do not send learners to school with phones expecting them to keep them switched off or hidden in their bags. The rule is simple: NO PHONES AT SCHOOL.

NO PHONES. NO CYBERBULLYING. NO EXCUSES.

We appeal to all parents and guardians to support the school in enforcing this rule and help us protect every learner.

Celebrating Literacy Through ModiReadathon!

Our learners read stories online, answered questions, and put their literacy skills to the test! Reading opens minds, builds confidence, and creates opportunities. Keep reading, keep learning!

Congratulations to our winners, Tlhomamo Maretele & Kealeboga Itebogeng!

A special thank you to Ms. Kopano Jakkals for helping and preparing our learners for the competition.

EMANG MMOGO COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL DEBATING SOCIETY 🏆

On 1 August 2026, our Debating Society proudly competed at the Northern Cape Schools Debating Association (NCDSA) tournament hosted by Northern Cape High School.

Our school entered five teams that took on some of the province’s strongest debating schools in a series of prepared and unprepared debates. Every round demanded critical thinking, confidence and teamwork, and our learners rose to the occasion with determination and excellence.

🏆 We are proud to announce that one of our Senior Teams emerged as champions, defeating Northern Cape High School in the final.

Winning Team (L–R):
• Nosbet Mpofu
• Lesego Mathopa
• Realeboga Motswana

Our success continued as 9 of our debaters were selected for the Northern Cape Preliminary Team.

Junior Selections:
• Bongiwe Mabilo
• Thuto April
• Mosa Phetlho

Senior Selections:
• Nosbet Mpofu
• Lesego Mathopa
• Realeboga Motswana
• Chanelle Ngwenya
• Lethabo Khumalo
• Kelebogile Abrahams

A special honourable mention goes to Azania Tawana, Bontle Malesela and Kudzai who stepped up when another school was unable to field a team. Without hesitation, they embraced the opportunity and competed with courage and professionalism.

To every learner who represented EMCS, thank you for your hard work, discipline and dedication. You have made your school immensely proud.

“Success belongs to those who prepare relentlessly, embrace every opportunity, and have the courage to stand up when it matters most.”

💙 We are EMCS. We don’t just debate—we inspire, we lead, and we rise together.

50 years ago today, Soweto’s youth flooded the streets. They stood against Bantu Education and refused to learn through Afrikaans as the language of instruction.

Today, Emang Mmogo Comprehensive School, we commemorate and honour the brave young vanguards of 16 June 1976. ✊🏿
