🏑 Celebrating Women’s Month Through Hockey! 💙

What better way to end Women’s Month than with an exciting day of hockey, teamwork and girl power at Waterstone College! 🌸🏑

Our girls took to the turf with passion, determination and plenty of school spirit, showcasing not only their hockey skills but also the strength, confidence and resilience that make young women such an inspiration.

The tournament was a wonderful celebration of friendship, sportsmanship and female empowerment, reminding us that when girls support and encourage one another, amazing things happen.

Well done to all the teams who participated and to everyone who helped make the day such a memorable celebration! 💪🌷

Waterstone College is incredibly proud of Jared Damons on his selection to the Lions Invitational Team for the prestigious Fasken Week Cricket Tournament, taking place from 3–6 September.

Jared’s selection is a wonderful recognition of his hard work, dedication and passion for cricket. A talented all-rounder and valued member of our cricket family since Grade 4, he has consistently impressed with both bat and ball, as well as his leadership and determination.

🔥 FROM WATERSTONE COLLEGE TO THE WORLD STAGE🌍✨

At Waterstone College, we believe that every learner has a unique talent waiting to be discovered, nurtured and celebrated. 💙

Today, we celebrate Alicia, a proud Waterstone learner whose journey in Dance Sport has taken her from representing Waterstone College, to representing her province, and ultimately to representing South Africa on the international stage🌍

Alicia recently travelled to Blackpool, United Kingdom, to compete at the prestigious United Dance Organisation (UDO) World Championships, where she proudly represented South Africa alongside some of the country's finest young dancers.

And what an achievement🏆✨

Alicia was appointed Captain of the Dance Sport Team South Africa for the UK delegation.

💃 Alicia and her partner, Kude Nokwali, reached the semi-finals, securing a phenomenal Top 15 position globally🌎👏

But this journey didn't start in the United Kingdom.

It started right here at Waterstone College, where our dedicated teachers and coaches recognised Alicia's potential, supported her passion and helped create an environment where her talent could grow. 💙

Her story is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a school sees more than just marks when we see the talent, passion, confidence and potential within every learner 🌟

From the Waterstone stage to the world stage, we are incredibly proud of you, Alicia👏💙

✨ What an incredible experience! 🐣

Our pre-school learners had the amazing opportunity to witness a chick hatching in real time, right before our eyes! 🥚➡️🐥

We were delighted to welcome Grow@Eduplus, who taught us all about eggs, how chicks develop inside the egg, and the fascinating journey from egg to chick. 🐣🔍

The learning doesn’t stop there! Our incubator and brooder box will be staying with us for the rest of the week, giving our learners the chance to observe this wonderful process up close as more chicks hatch. ❤️

Jessie has also been selected to represent the Ekurhuleni District at the Gauteng Championships this coming weekend. What an incredible achievement! 👏
