Today our Grade R learners explored Tetris-style tangram puzzles🧩🔶️🔵🟪🔻 — and while it looks like simple play, BIG learning is happening behind the scenes!

Children learn to think, try different solutions, and keep going when something doesn’t fit the first time.

👀 Visual perception & spatial awareness
Figuring out how shapes fit together strengthens early maths and reading readiness skills.

✋ Fine motor development
Picking up, rotating, and placing pieces helps build the small muscles needed for writing.

💡 Creativity & imagination
There is no single “right way” — children create pictures, patterns, and designs using their own ideas.

Tangrams teach children that learning takes practice… and success feels amazing when they finally solve the puzzle!
