Dear Parents/Guardians,
On behalf of the board, management team and all the staff at Honeycomb College I would like to wish you all a happy new year. I trust that you had a wonderful rest and are now recharged and ready to take on the challenges that this year may bring.
Prior to the commencement of the new term, we will send out a letter with information pertaining to the changes that will be implemented this year.
However, last week the President announced that South Africa would be returning to an adjusted level 3 lockdown. I am sure many parents are concerned about what this means for schools.
The lockdown will be reassessed on 15 January 2021. As such, ISASA has advised all independent schools to delay reopening until an announcement has been made. The date of reopening has been postponed to Monday, 18 January 2021, instead of 13 January as had been planned. Detailed information regarding this will be sent out in communication to follow.
We understand that this may be of inconvenience, but we kindly ask for your understanding and apologise in advance.
Please be advised that all the students will need to wear their school uniform on our return to school. Should uniform need to be purchased, the uniform shop, Boundaries Silk Bazaar is open.
Should you have any queries or concerns, please donโt hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards,
Hester de Lange
Director of Honeycomb College
