watch this...

this is very special as this is where hip hop came from, from poor and broken worlds. where hip hop was a community and culture for people. besides for he music and the dance hip hop was a way of being, and treating each other.

and thats why most of current hip hop doesnt do anything for me, hip hops not about flashy expensive clothes and lifestyles, and who has the most. its about an expression of what you as a person can show through hip hop. music about your rims and your giant house is rubbish. wheres the stories about who you are and what you went through as a person and in your community.

alot of people say yes thats how it started but things evolve, i dont think thats the case. things evolve yes. but the basic principle will always remain the same. basics of a musical instrument stays the same, basics fundamentals of ballet, breaking, popping, house, and all other dances stay the same, you learn the skill then you improve on it. you dont jump to the end and forget the history and importance of where the thing you love came from.

i can appreciate real people into hip hop. sincere honest people. people who hustle and make a plan to develop themselves no matter the cost. you dont need to be a poor person no, and i have no issue with people who are wealthy, but flashing your money doesnt do anything.

just cause a trend starts, and you go buy a pair of sneakers like the rest of the zombies does not make you part of the culture, when the trend changes you will change too, and hip hop culture will still be here wearing exactly what we always do.

iv seen alot of people in the scene where im from come and go, and most dont leave the culture themselves but they get sick of the trending scene. doesnt matter if they look the part they remain people who love the culture. i know of many dancers who dont compete anymore but still dance everyday for the love of it.

fall in love with hip hop and you will never leave. Hip hop and the people through my life made me what i am today. started me with dancing, allowed me to teach kids, teach workshops, meet people and do many shows on stage. also taught me to hustle and make money where i had very little. taught me to teach myself new skills and grow.

anyways if you read all that thanks, i ramble on a lil when it comes to this, but thank you. and watch the video!
