We often place too much pressure on ourselves to perform well, and when we don’t meet those expectations, we’re usually the first to criticize ourselves, even when the praise or support from others suggests otherwise.

Mistakes and setbacks are inevitable, but that doesn’t mean we should dismiss all the hard work we’ve put in. Instead, we should use those experiences as motivation to keep going, reminding ourselves that we are closer to our goals than we were yesterday.📈

With so many ways to get rich quickly and stay fit for a better future, it becomes difficult to keep up with which way would be the best for you.

So, GO AND TRY IT!

The best way to figure out whether something will be worth your time and effort is to GO AND TRY IT! It beats sitting on the couch thinking about it or settling for the opinions of others to make a potentially life-changing decision for you.

What’s the best way to go about it?

Find out if the thing you’re curious about offers a free class or zero-commitment trial for you to get a feel for the environment and make a decision based on YOUR experience.

At the end of the day, you’re the one who will be investing the time, money, and effort, so don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

The continued persistence of achieving a skill or goal shouldn’t be measured by how many times you get it right or get it wrong. The focus should be on falling in love with the process of continuously improving until the day comes when you get to put all that hard work on display.📈

Years of blood, sweat and gruelling workouts and it’s all been captured in one photo📸

Through my entire experience of doing CrossFit I have found a love for chasing the next challenge and what I came to learn is you have to enjoy the process because there will always be a bigger challenge around the corner.

What made this journey easier is the likeminded individuals who have supported me on this journey and have become the driving force that gets me out of bed and on track to accomplish something I never thought possible.

Now I might not be exactly where I want to be but I’m a lot closer than where I used to be and this picture serves as a reminder of how far iv come.

The mantra that has stuck with me the most through this journey has been “it doesn’t get easier, you get better”, and with that, nothing I do could ever be a waste of time nor a failure.

This will not be the last time I have my arms on my legs gasping for air, because I know the next challenge is around the corner but I’ll be ready to give it everything iv got.😎

Sometimes it’s all about going back to the basics⬇️

It’s been said many times that “If you haven’t mastered the basics then you aren’t going to progress to your full potential” and often we over look out foundations in the pursuit of the next great fix.

How do you know where you went wrong?

Let’s look at it:
🔻 Information
Often we try the quickest ways to improve so that we appear more competent but we miss out on a lot of the benefits and deeper insights of why we do, what we do so stick it out for the long haul to make it work better for you and seek feedback when you’re unsure.

🔻 Demonstration
Never shrug off a good opportunity to learn, even if you already believe you know all there is to know as one day you might find yourself surprised when you learn something new and benefit from it tremendously.

🔻 Education
Wisdom is found in the work you put in and if you’re not learning something new, you’re not working hard enough. Make the most of today so that you can conquer tomorrow.

🔻 Direction
We often do many things blinded by the distraction that they are towards the things we should actually be doing. Check your goals to make sure the effort you’re investing matches the path towards what you want to accomplish.

🔻 Persuasion
The only person that can put in the work that will make the biggest difference is you, so stay honest with yourself and the goals you have planned to keep yourself accountable and help you push through the tough times.

Most of us are facing challenges and barriers in our daily lives and how we overcome those challenges make us who we need to be, not the easy road.

Do the basics well and the rest will follow😎

Feedback on the things you are putting effort into is extremely crucial in order to ensure that you are doing what’s necessary to improve and that it is still aligned with your goals.

Over time our goals, skills and understanding will be tested to a point where we will be matched by difficulty and that makes it important to continuously assess the progress of each of these areas.

Physical, Mental and Emotional barriers develop throughout our careers and it is important to adjust our lives accordingly to maintain the steady progress that we hold onto so tight.

Assess where you are and the things you want to achieve and make sure that they are in alignment, this will give you a good idea of where you should start focusing more of your time.

Change is as good as a holiday😎

People are very quick to relish the opportunities that they have been given by the talents they possess but as you start to move forward in your career the talent gap diminishes while effort and hard work become the separators.

Talent can be seen as what you are capable of doing on a good day but when the pressure is on and you’re looking to rise up above your competition then effort and hard work put into your daily routine is what will take you through the tough times and even make the good times better.

Don’t rely on your talent when everyone around you is putting in the work.

You were born with greatness inside of you, and whether or not you achieve that greatness depends on the choices you make and the effort you put in.

Having the capability of doing something, even at a high level, isn’t enough to reach your goals if it isn’t coupled with determination, effort, and the right decisions to get you closer to that goal.

So how can you maximise your potential?

🔻Continuous Learning
Stay curious and committed to learning new skills and furthering your knowledge. The more you know the more you can leverage your potential.

🔻Set Clear Goals
Define what it is you want to achieve and create an action plan on how to reach those goals. These should be your reason to get out of bed and commit yourself towards improving your progress.

🔻Seek Feedback
Surround yourself with people who can give you valuable insight on areas for improvement and how to best go about it. You can also journal your progress by making notes of previous and future achievements.

🔻Build Strong Habits
There’s a lot of distractions out there so make sure to narrow your habits to the things that support your growth and allows you to maximise your potential.

🔻Network and Collaborate
Building an environment with places and people that inspire and challenge you is a good way to wake up excited for the day. Search for new opportunities, provide support and expose yourself to different perspectives and ideas.

By applying these areas to every task or goal that you would like to achieve, you’ll have a broader perspective of how to best apply yourself to the areas that will help you achieve your success and avoid the distractions keeping you from maximising your potential.

Finding excitement in new places can always be daunting in the beginning because we know very little about the thing we are trying to get into.

Sticking with the process has the potential to open you up to something you may come to enjoy and potentially even change your life.

Ways to improve your commitment in the beginning of a new journey:

🔻Take on the new journey with optimism
You’re likely to go through some new discoveries, followed by a lot of development and then a lifetime of deepening so don’t rush the journey.

🔻Find the right people
Surround yourself with likeminded people who will encourage and support your progress making it more enjoyable.

🔻 Embrace Change
You’re likely to find yourself in a new place with new people so give the environment a chance to grow on you and see what it has to offer.

🔻Stay Consistent
Invest into a training program where you are able to learn how to progress and get the results you’re looking for.
