ABSOLUTELY kids are acting out: they're acting out a need that isn't being met. Our job is to translate this for the child, and seperate the vulnerable person inside from this behavior. . Before we react, punish, coerce, yell, or doll out consequences, pause and ask yourself: what need is not being met? Is my child overstimulated; sick; hungry; tired; feeling ignored, left out, invisible, unheard or unloved?
