CAN I BE MYSELF? I REALLY JUST WANT TO BE ME!!
There's a first Lady of a church who is frustrated and feel deprived of being a human being, but is expected to hang her head and be humble and nice to people who can't stand her, who have disqualified her as the right candidate for their pastor. She's crying silently, "Lord can you see that I am bent over and cannot lift up myself while I lift every one up? Can I be Myself and not be judged when I feel overwhelmed?"
There's a pastor's kid out there who feels burdened by the unreasonable expectation of the congregation to be a pastor and act like one. He/she is crying," I didn't eavesdrop on my parents' conversation about their calling with God, why is their calling my own. I'm only a teenager, when is my life going to start? Can I discover my own calling? can I be Myself?
There's an employee who is sobbing silently "I may not be as degreed as you are, and I may not look like you or sound like you, but nevertheless, can I be Myself? Can you please see me as a human being behind my job description? I really just want to be Me!
I wrote my new book for the prisoner who feels dehumanized because of his actions, and the homeless person who has been rendered null and void for not having a home. For the wife, girlfriend, child, parent, sibling who is feeling like they are not good enough!!! I wrote it for you and me.
