SCAM ALERT: Imposter posing as Principal Mr. T.S Gumede 🚨⚠️

​We want to warn all job seekers and community members about a scam currently operating on WhatsApp.

​An individual using the WhatsApp number +27 78 232 9141 is falsely posing as our Principal, Mr. T.S Gumede. This scammer is contacting people, pretending to offer or recommend them for permanent teaching posts and demanding an immediate payment of R2,930 into a TymeBank account for an "appointment letter."

​📢 Please take note of the following:
​This is a scam. Principal Mr. T.S Gumede is not and will not contact people via WhatsApp to offer jobs or demand money.

​Sinethezekile High School and the Department of Education will NEVER ask for payment or bank transfers in exchange for employment, appointment letters, or job placements.

​All official department posts follow formal, regulated recruitment and interview procedures.

​🚫 What you should do:
​Do NOT send any money or share your personal details (like ID numbers).
​Block and report the number +27 78 232 9141 on WhatsApp immediately.

SINETHEZEKILE NOTICE
It is with profound sadness and shattered hearts that we announce the tragic passing of one of our own learners, Makwande Gumede, who left us yesterday, 15 June 2026.
​Makwande was not only a dedicated learner and a bright, smiling presence in our corridors, but he was also the beloved son of our respected Principal, Mr. Gumede T.S.

As a school, we are completely devastated by this immense loss. The beautiful memory captured will always remind us of the vibrant light and joy he brought into this world.

​We extend our deepest, most heartfelt condolences to Principal Mr Gumede, his family, and everyone who loved Makwande. We ask our beloved Teachers, parents and learners to keep the Gumede family in their thoughts and prayers during this dark and unimaginably painful time.

​ Please be advised that the Term 2 Examinations have officially commenced as of Monday, 01 June 2026, and will run until Thursday, 25 June 2026 for Grades 8 to 12.

​ We would like to confirm that all learners are required to write examinations for all of their registered subjects during this period. Please ensure your child is studying daily, managing their time well, and arriving at school on time every day.
