SHOOTOUT in EITEMAL STREET

An unknown African male was murdered last night at about 18h15 after being involved in a shootout between rival Zama Zama factions. The shooting occurred between Eitemal and Poole Streets.

As part of the effort to stop illegal mining and the further occurrence of such incidents the FCPF in conjuction with Florida SAPS, SAPS POPS and Department of Mineral Resources closed some of the shaft entrances along Eitemal Street.

A full scale clean up operation is scheduled to start soon.
