It is with deep sadness that the Free State Symphony Orchestra notes the passing of Dr Louis van der Watt, valued violinist and colleague.

Dr van der Watt’s musicianship, professionalism, and dedication contributed significantly to the work and spirit of the FSSO. His presence enriched our orchestra, and his legacy will remain part of our musical community.

We extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all touched by his life and artistry.
