University of Johannesburg Celebrating Youth Excellence and Entrepreneurship! 🌟

The UJ Technology Transfer Office( UJ TTO) proudly congratulates Kamogelo Selepe on winning 1st Prize and R1 million in the Mr Price Foundation Bindzu Youth Fund Competition 2026.

Kamogelo's journey is a remarkable example of what can be achieved when innovation, determination, and opportunity come together. From joining the UJ TTO Incubation Programme in 2025, winning the Gauteng round of the Mr Price Foundation Bindzu Youth Fund Competition 2025, securing 1st place at the UJ TTO Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, and being recognised as the 2026 Hult Prize South Africa National Campus Director of the Year, she has continued to raise the bar for student entrepreneurship.

As a member of the 2026 UJ Unipod Cohort UNDP South Africa timbuktoo Africa, President of the UJ SWEEP Chapter Student Women Economic Empowerment Programme (SWEEP), CEO and Founder of ArcaneEdge, and Founder of Becoming Her, Kamogelo continues to inspire others through her commitment to innovation, leadership, and women empowerment.

This achievement is especially meaningful as we celebrate Youth Month, highlighting the incredible potential of young entrepreneurs to drive positive change, create opportunities, and shape South Africa's future.

The UJ Technology Transfer Office( UJ TTO) ) is proud to share the outcomes of our participation in the Hult Prize South Africa 2026 National Competition, held on 28 March 2026 at Workshop 17, Cape Town.
Following our local campus competition at InnUvation Junction, two exceptional UJ teams represented us on the national stage:
πŸ”Ή Team SkillCycle (Dylan Van Niekerk & Joe Leo Van Niekerk ) advanced to the TOP 6 Nationally
πŸ”Ή Team AquaScan (Musa Mack & Dhlamini) also competed as our local competition winners, gaining invaluable exposure on a high-calibre national platform.

But the celebration doesn't stop there!

Kamogelo Selepe was awarded Hult Prize South Africa National Campus Director of the Year, a well-deserved recognition of her extraordinary dedication in driving student participation in the Hult Prize programme at UJ Technology Transfer Office( UJ TTO) .
