The SwimCoach Africa Conference 2026 is coming to Harare, Zimbabwe on 11–12 September 2026, and we believe this is one of the most important coaching education events for swim teachers and coaches across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Featuring Ian Els and Hilton Slack as our guest speakers, the conference will focus on stroke development, age-group coaching, learn-to-swim progression, safeguarding, business development, coach wellbeing, and personal growth.

Great coaches never stop learning.

This conference is about more than technical information. It is about building a stronger African coaching community where we learn from one another and raise the standard of coaching across the continent.

Low muscle tone is often noticeable, yet not always fully understood. Children with varying needs may present with low muscle tone, while others may have it without any apparent additional challenges. Regardless, low muscle tone significantly impacts the way children learn to swim and develop their strokes. Traditional teaching methods may not yield the same results, requiring coaches and instructors to adapt their approach.

This 2 part series equips swim coaches and instructors with the knowledge to identify low muscle tone, understand its implications on endurance and skill development, and adjust training programs accordingly. Participants will gain practical strategies to modify lessons, maximise resources, and provide the best possible support for swimmers with low muscle tone, ensuring a more inclusive and effective learning experience.

Can't join the live session? No problem, the recording will be made available afterwards. CPD points will still be earned.
