St Katharine’s was started in 1916 as a small community school which valued joy in learning, the arts, music and excellence in academic endeavour – a foundation that underpins our school culture to this day. We cultivate an environment where each girl is known as an individual and encouraged to strive for her personal best. We are also cognisant of the fact that each girl is part of a community and while unique, she should serve the needs of others in a sensitive and meaningful manner.

Our goalkeepers hit the turf for a fantastic training session this past Sunday, participating in a specialised clinic hosted by South African international and 2024 O35 World Masters Champion, Mmatshepo Modipane.
It was an invaluable opportunity for our players to learn from a world-class player. The girls walked away with sharp new skills, a deeper understanding of the position, and an immense amount of enthusiasm to take into the upcoming hockey season! 🏑

The Grade 7 Geography girls recently created edible models of the Earth’s layers using Rice Krispie treats and sweets! Their creative projects showcased the continental crust, oceanic crust, mantle, outer core and inner core in a fun and hands-on way.
