Senior Primary Sports Awards June 2026 🏆

On Monday, we came together for our Senior Primary Sports Awards Assembly, a special opportunity to celebrate the achievements, growth and commitment of our Rosies throughout the season.

While trophies and results are always worth celebrating, the morning was also a reminder of the many lessons learnt through sport: resilience, teamwork, discipline and the courage to keep showing up and giving your best.

A sincere thank you to our coaches for the guidance, encouragement and expertise they bring to our sporting programme, and to our parents for the countless lifts, early mornings and unwavering support from the sidelines.

Congratulations to all our award recipients, and well done to every Rosie who took to the field, court and course this season. We are proud of all that you have achieved and the way you continue to grow through sport.

In closing, Coach Tessa shared a message that was once given to her and has remained close to her heart ever since:

“Wherever you go, go with all your heart.” 💙

A fantastic end to the tennis season! 🎾

The end-of-season results are in, and our tennis teams have plenty to celebrate.

Both the A and B Teams topped their respective leagues and have earned promotion for the third term, a wonderful reward for their hard work, consistency and commitment throughout the season.

The C Team also had an excellent season, finishing third out of six teams and demonstrating great determination in every match.

Congratulations to all our players and coaches on a successful season. We look forward to seeing our Rosies continue to build on these achievements in the third term. 💙

Battle of the Stars 2026 ✨

Last week, our High School Rosies took to the stage for Battle of the Stars, sharing an evening of music, drama, dance and entertainment that had the audience captivated from start to finish.

While the performances may have lasted only a few minutes, they were the result of weeks of rehearsals, planning, practice and teamwork behind the scenes. From performers and musicians to those working in the technical crew, every contribution helped bring the production to life.

Beyond the music, drama and dance, the production offered a thoughtful reminder of the value of friendship, the realities of competition and the importance of compassion and humility.

A sincere thank you to our staff, parents and supporters for encouraging the girls every step of the way. Congratulations to all involved on a memorable evening filled with talent, laughter, teamwork and plenty of Rosie spirit. 🌹

A final dance and milestones to remember. 🏑🌹

Last week’s First Team fixture against St Mary’s marked the final match for our matric players, making the occasion all the more special.

For Reid Kast, it was a celebration of her 50 appearances for the First Team, a true testament to her passion. Dannika Ramroop, our First Team captain, reached an extraordinary 100 appearances for St Teresa’s First Team Hockey, a legendary achievement!

While these mark official capped milestones, both girls have represented St Teresa’s many more times throughout their hockey journeys, well beyond these official milestones.

As they step off the turf for the final time as First Team matrics, we thank them for their commitment, leadership and the example they have set for younger players following in their footsteps.

Congratulations on these milestones, Reid and Dannika, and thank you for everything you have given to the team and the school. 💙

Happy Father’s Day 💛

A compass does not choose the destination, but it helps us find the way, much like the fathers, grandfathers and father figures who guide and support our girls as they navigate their own journeys. 🧭

Thank you for the values you instil, the encouragement you give and the countless ways you help our Rosies grow in confidence, faith and purpose.

We are grateful for the guidance you provide as they find their direction and for the reassurance that they never walk alone.

Wishing you a joyful Father’s Day. 💙

One Last Dance for the 1st Team Matrics. 🏑

Today, two of our matric players take the field for the final time in the 1st Team dress. Years of commitment, sacrifice, early mornings, tough training sessions and unforgettable memories have led to this moment for Dannika Ramroop and Reid Kast.

Play with pride, enjoy every second and leave it all out on the turf. Dannika and Reid, thank you for everything you have given to the 1st team and the school.

One team. One final game. One last dance. 💙

Congratulations to Mrs Monique Peters! 🏃‍♀️

Grade 3 teacher and Rosie parent, Mrs Peters, recently completed the Comrades Marathon, the world’s oldest and largest ultramarathon, crossing the finish line in an impressive time of 08:59:52, achieving the coveted sub-9-hour milestone.

This remarkable achievement reflects months of training, discipline and perseverance. Whether in the classroom, at home or on the road, Mrs Peters demonstrates what can be achieved through commitment, resilience and determination.

Not only is she an inspiration to her two daughters, but also to the many Rosies whose lives she has touched as a teacher.

We are delighted to celebrate this milestone with her and know the entire St Teresa's School community will join us in saying: well done, Mrs Peters! 💙 🎉

Youth Day 2026 🇿🇦

Today, we mark 50 years since the Soweto Uprising, a moment that changed the course of our country’s history and reminded the world of the power of young voices.

At St Teresa’s School, compassion, service and a deep sense of responsibility have long been part of our story. As one of the first schools in South Africa to open its doors to girls of all races, we acted in accordance with our Mercy values, guided by the belief that every child deserves respect, opportunity and belonging.

Our Rosies continue this legacy every day. They learn to speak with purpose and stand together. Sometimes this means doing hard things. May our girls continue to lead with compassion, hope and conviction, living the values that our founding Sisters of Mercy entrusted to us and that define The Rosie Way.

On Youth Day, we hold close Cardinal Brislin’s reminder that listening is one of the greatest gifts we can offer our young people, creating the conditions for genuine growth.

The future is yours, Rosies. 🌹

This wonderful achievement reflects her commitment, perseverance and love for the sport, and we are delighted to celebrate this next step in her cross country journey.

Well done, Rotundwa. Your Rosie family will be cheering you on every step of the way! 💙

Green, gold and plenty of Rosie spirit! 🇿🇦

The young Junior Primary Rosies have been proudly showing their support for Bafana Bafana and the Proteas Women by adding a touch of green and gold to their uniforms every Friday.

From scarves and face paint to teddy bears dressed for the occasion, the excitement has been impossible to miss! The girls have embraced the opportunity to rally behind South Africa’s teams, filling the school with colour, enthusiasm and plenty of national pride.

Moments like these remind us how sport has a special way of bringing people together. Whether cheering from the sidelines, the classroom or the playground, our Rosies are learning what it means to support one another and celebrate something bigger than themselves.

We’re cheering alongside you, Bafana Bafana and Proteas Women. Go make South Africa proud! 💚💛
