From 05–12 August 2026, the merSETA Free State Regional Office engaged Skills Development Providers, employers and key stakeholders across Welkom, Potchefstroom, Kimberley and Bloemfontein as part of the 2026/2027 Discretionary Grant (DG) Funding Window engagements.

The sessions provided an important platform to unpack the DG Funding Window, share key information, clarify processes and requirements, and address practical questions to support stakeholders in navigating the funding application and implementation process.

Through these engagements, the merSETA continues to strengthen stakeholder support and promote greater understanding of the DG process, contributing to the delivery of impactful skills development opportunities.
