Bryneven Netball and Soccer Tournament
What an incredible day of sport, teamwork, and Bryneven spirit at our 37th Annual Bryneven 6-a-Side Soccer and Netball Tournament! ⚽🏐
We were blessed with beautiful weather and welcomed over 2 000 guests, including the participating children, for a truly memorable event filled with energy, excitement, and outstanding sportsmanship.
We are immensely proud of our Bryneven teams, with eight of our teams reaching the finals across both soccer and netball. A special congratulations to our netball teams for clinching the prestigious “Best Overall Netball” trophy! 🏆
Well done as well to our Bryneven children who received the “Best Player Award” for their exceptional performances in their respective age groups. Your dedication, talent, and teamwork made us incredibly proud.
A heartfelt thank you to all the schools, coaches, staff, parents, supporters, and organisers who contributed to the success of this wonderful tournament. Bryneven once again showcased not only sporting excellence, but also the strong sense of community and pride that makes our school so special.

At Bryneven, we believe that every child deserves to feel loved, valued and respected 💙🧡
Our anti-bullying initiatives continue to remind our children that kindness is not just a value we speak about — it is something we choose through our words, actions and the way we treat others every day.
Our children proudly wore orange, the official anti-bullying colour, together with blue, our school colour, to stand in solidarity for International Stand Up to Bullying Day and the United Nations Anti-bullying Day, as well as to show support for anti-bullying initiatives observed both nationally and internationally.
Through meaningful class activities, discussions and our grade assemblies, our children explored the importance of empathy, inclusion, respect and standing up for one another.
We were honoured to welcome Sergeants from the Sandton Police Station, as well as Limpho Aishah Letlala, who engaged our children in important conversations about bullying, conflict, kindness and respect. These discussions encouraged our children to reflect on the impact their behaviour can have on others and the role each person plays in creating a caring community.
Real change happens when schools, families and communities work together. At Bryneven, we remain committed to raising awareness, encouraging open conversations and teaching our children that we rise by lifting others. Together, we can create a culture where kindness speaks louder than bullying and where every child feels they belong.

We had the incredible privilege of hosting Olympic champion Chad le Clos at our special assembly.
Our learners were truly inspired by his personal journey — a story built on self-belief, determination, resilience, and perseverance. Chad shared valuable lessons about overcoming challenges, staying focused on your goals, and never giving up on your dreams.
What stood out most was how warm, humble, and accommodating he was with our children. He took the time to answer their questions thoughtfully and encouraged them to believe in themselves and their abilities.
Thank you, Chad, for motivating and inspiring our learners to dream big and work hard towards achieving their goals. Your visit left a lasting impact on us.🥰
