✈️ Little Flowers Airline took off today! 🌍💙

All aboard! Our Little Flowers learners embarked on an exciting simulated flight experience as part of our Transport theme. Armed with their passports and boarding passes, they checked in, boarded their flight, and even enjoyed delicious in-flight snacks.

Of course, every great journey comes with a little adventure—we experienced some "turbulence" along the way! 😊 But our brave little passengers remained calm, and everyone landed safely at their destination with smiles, laughter, and wonderful memories.

Learning comes alive when imagination takes flight, creating meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning.

✈️ Thank you to our dedicated staff for making this unforgettable journey possible!

Remembering Youth Day – 16 June

Today, St Theresa's Convent School joins the nation in remembering the courageous young people of the 1976 Soweto Uprising, who stood up against injustice and fought for the right to quality education and freedom.

Their bravery and sacrifice changed the course of South Africa's history and helped pave the way for the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today. We honour the lives lost, the families affected, and all those who fought for a better future for generations to come.

May we continue to cherish their legacy by valuing education, respecting one another, and striving to build a more just and compassionate society.

"The youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow."

🌿🐦 Catholic Schools Week 2026 🐦🌿
Following in the Footsteps of St Francis

For Catholic Schools Week, we celebrated the inspiring example of St Francis of Assisi, whose feast day is celebrated on 4 October. St Francis is remembered for his deep love of God, his care for the poor, and his special appreciation for animals, nature, and all of God's creation.

As a school community, we are called to follow in his footsteps by being good stewards of the world that God has entrusted to us. Our learners embraced this message by planting flowers and seeds, helping to create a more beautiful and sustainable environment for all.

Through these small but meaningful acts, our learners demonstrated that caring for creation is one way of showing our love for God. As the seeds grow and bloom, may they serve as a reminder of our responsibility to nurture, protect, and cherish the earth and all living things.

May we continue to walk in the footsteps of St Francis, spreading kindness, respect, and care for one another, for animals, and for the precious gift of God's creation.

We were privileged to attend the Founder's Day Mass at Holy Family College, celebrating the life, vision, and legacy of Blessed Pierre Bienvenu Noailles, founder of the Holy Family Schools.

The beautiful celebration reminded us of his unwavering commitment to faith, education, service, and the formation of young people. His mission continues to inspire generations of learners and educators to strive for excellence, compassion, and a deep love for God and others.

As we gathered in prayer and thanksgiving, we reflected on the values that unite all Holy Family schools: faith, family, respect, service, and a commitment to making a positive difference in our communities.

May the example of Blessed Pierre Noailles continue to guide and inspire us as we nurture young minds and hearts, empowering them to become people of integrity, courage, and hope.

"Let us do all things with love and for the glory of God."

Our school community gathered in faith and unity for a special Mass to pray for and bless all our learners as they begin their examinations this week.

As they embark on this important journey, we entrust them to God's loving care, asking Him to grant them wisdom, understanding, focus, and peace of mind. May they approach each challenge with confidence, knowing that their hard work, dedication, and perseverance will guide them to success.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." – Proverbs 16:3

At St Theresa's Convent School, we believe that education nurtures not only the mind but also the spirit. We encourage our learners to do their very best, trust in their abilities, and remember that success is measured not only by results but by effort, integrity, and growth.

We wish all our learners a blessed and successful examination period. May God's grace be with each of you as you strive to achieve your full potential.
