At Adventures in Wonderland Nursery School, our Star Baker Project, teaches values such as kindness & manners and develops self-esteem in each child.
Baking with your child can be an inexpensive way to enhance your child's development. Chatting while you bake with your child, provides opportunities to extend their communication and language skills in a fun, constructive way.
Children focus on an end-goal, which helps to develop concentration, listening skills, processing instructions as well as fine-motor development.
Your child feels a huge sense of achievement, witnessing the outcomes that they receive from the input that they put in.
It becomes THEIR special day, being The Class Star Baker and 'Selling' their goods to each child.

Life is busy, especially for parents. As the days go by our to-do lists become fuller and other priorities seem to take precedence. As busy parents, we spend plenty of time with our children, however is it truly quality time?!
Spending quality time with our children does not have to be a huge undertaking, it can as simple as taking a few minutes each day to spend together without any distractions. Be mindful of this!!!
