SATURDAY SCHOOL - JULY 2026
While many spent their Saturday resting, hundreds of young people chose something different: they chose their future.
This past Saturday, the Thandulwazi Academy welcomed school students and student teachers to our 16th Saturday School of 2026. As the morning sun rose over St Stithians College, classrooms quickly filled with energy, determination, and hope. For many, these Saturdays are about far more than extra lessons. They are about possibility.
Across campus, dedicated students strengthened their academic foundations, prepared for brighter opportunities, built friendships, and experienced world-class learning and sporting facilities.
At the same time, our Early Childhood Development Teacher students explored ways to create stimulating learning environments for foundation phase students, while a workshop by Autism South Africa deepened their understanding of autism and practical learner support.
These moments matter. Every student who grows in confidence, every aspiring teacher who gains new skills, and every child who will benefit from a compassionate educator represents a ripple effect of positive change.
At Thandulwazi, we believe education transforms lives, strengthens communities, and helps build a more equitable South Africa. Each Saturday is a day of dreams taking shape, opportunities being created, and futures being rewritten. Because when we invest in education, we invest in South Africa's future.
To our school students, student teachers, facilitators, partners, and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. Your commitment reminds us that real change happens one lesson, one teacher, and one student at a time.
