Our Grade 6s had a wonderful time at Woodrock Animal Rescue as part of their Life Skills curriculum, learning about the importance of caring for and showing compassion towards animals. 🐾❤️

We are so fortunate to have incredible animal shelters across our country, doing such meaningful work every day.

A special thank you to the dedicated staff and volunteers at Woodrock for the incredible sacrifice you make. Caring for animals can be emotionally taxing, and yet you continue to show up with such love, patience and commitment.

What a valuable experience for our Grade 6s - learning not only how to care for animals, but also the importance of compassion, responsibility and service. 🐶🐱💙

Happy 60th birthday to the wonderful Mrs Easton! 🌹 Like the classic red rose, Mrs Easton brings a gentle kind of love and joy into our classrooms. We are so thankful for her calm presence and beautiful friendship with our staff. ❤️

Newton House loves the privilege of giving back by helping to shape the next generation of teachers. 💙 These three wonderful ladies have recently concluded their practical teaching assignments with us, and what a joy it has been to have them as part of our school community. 🍎📚 They have been true gems - dedicated, eager to learn and showing the qualities that will make them wonderful teachers. We have no doubt that they will be a real asset to the profession.

Our brave Polar Plungers took on the icy waters, all in the name of charity. We’re thrilled to share that, thanks to the generosity and support of our Newton House community, we raised just over R4 500 for charity. 🎉 Cold water, brave hearts and a wonderful cause - what a way to make a difference! Thank you to everyone who took the plunge, donated, cheered us on and helped make it such a success. 🥶❤️

Well done to our Newton House chess players who participated in the Trinity Chess Festival.🏆 Our players played exceptionally well, celebrating some great victories and learning valuable lessons from the games that didn’t go our way.

Mrs de Wet is one of those wonderfully kind humans who brings a gentle heart, creativity and warmth to everything she does. 💛 She has transformed our library into a truly magical space for young readers, inspiring our pupils to discover the joy of books and imagination. 📚✨ She also co-teaches alongside Mrs de Souza, pouring love, patience and care into her pupils and loving them as her own.

Mrs de Wet, thank you for the beautiful difference you make at Newton House. We are so grateful to have you on our team. 🌟🍎 Well deserved! 👏

🍦 Fridays are treat days at Aftercare! 🍦 Just before the cold front rolled in, our aftercare pupils made the most of the sunshine with a delicious, creamy ice-cream treat. 😋 A little sweetness, lots of smiles and the perfect way to end the week. 💙💛
