Cultural Exchange in Pretoria

As part of the international youth mobility programme, a cultural event was held at the Turkish Embassy in Pretoria in cooperation with the Eskişehir Youth Center and the Maarif Studies Center, celebrating Türkiye’s culture and strengthening intercultural friendship.

Students from Eskişehir and the University of Pretoria took part in traditional Turkish songs and dances (Halay), with everyone joining together in a shared celebration of unity and friendship.

Participants enjoyed a rich culinary exchange featuring Turkish delicacies such as baklava, su böreği, lokum, and Turkish coffee, alongside South African favourites including biltong, koeksisters, and milk tart, creating a warm and shared cultural experience.

🌍 *Entrepreneurship Bridge from Eskişehir to Johannesburg*

As part of an international youth mobility programme supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, students from Eskişehir, Türkiye, and the University of Pretoria met in Johannesburg for a joint learning exchange on entrepreneurship, social innovation, and youth employment.

The programme brought together young participants to develop innovative thinking, teamwork, and project design skills while addressing social challenges in both countries.

Key sessions were held at the Maarif Türkiye Studies Centre at the University of Pretoria, focusing on academic, social, and cultural cooperation and local social entrepreneurship initiatives.

The programme strengthened intercultural learning and youth collaboration, supporting the development of impactful and sustainable project ideas.
