Celebrating Heritage Day Together at Infinity College and Little Creations 🇿🇦

Today, both Infinity College and Little Creations Crèche & Nursery School came alive with colour, culture and proudly South African spirit as our learners celebrated Heritage Day together in style.

From beautiful traditional attire to proudly local outfits and Springbok colours, our children reminded us just how rich and diverse our country truly is.

At both schools, we believe that education is not only about academics. It is also about helping children understand who they are, where they come from, and how to respect and celebrate the people around them.

Days like Heritage Day create space for joy, belonging and connection. They help children grow in pride, confidence and appreciation for the many cultures, languages and traditions that make South Africa so special.

We are proud of every learner who took part and helped make the day memorable.

“I’LL TRY AGAIN” IS A VERY POWERFUL SENTENCE 💛

The tower falls over.

The puzzle piece does not fit.

The drawing does not look the way they imagined.

The zip will not close.

The first attempt does not work.

These are not failures.

They are opportunities to practise persistence.

At Little Creations, children are encouraged to try again, change their approach, ask for help when they need it and experience the satisfaction of finally getting something right.

🌸🍫 Sweet creativity in Grade R! 🌿

Our Grade R learners at Little Creations had such fun making their own edible pot plants.

Using ice cream cones, crushed biscuits, chocolate custard and edible flowers, the children carefully built beautiful little creations that looked just like mini potted plants. This activity was not only exciting and delicious, but also a wonderful way to encourage creativity, fine motor skills, following instructions and confident hands-on learning.

There is something special about watching little ones create with such focus, joy and pride and, of course, enjoying the tasty results afterwards too.

At Little Creations, we believe meaningful learning happens when children can explore, make, imagine and enjoy every moment. 💕🌱

Move slowly.

Stop when the music stops.

Music gives young children far more than something fun to listen to.

It supports language, memory, listening, rhythm, coordination, movement and confidence.

And sometimes it gives the child who does not yet have all the words another way to participate.

At Little Creations, songs, movement and rhythm form part of the joyful experiences of early childhood.
