Coding & Robotics Excellence!

Over the past weekend, 10 of our High School girls proudly represented McAuley House at the National SifisoEDTech Coding & Robotics Competition.

We are thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our girls, with Rokunda Ndou, Esihle Maxakatho and Fhulufelo Fashi securing 6th place, while Kitso Mosesane, Lerato Tshabalala, Peaton Stoles and Rethabile Moabelo achieved an outstanding 2nd place for the App they coded.

What an incredible achievement and a wonderful demonstration of mathematical and computational thinking, scientific reasoning, technical skills, creativity, innovation, teamwork and problem-solving.

Well done, girls! Keep flying the McAuley flag high!

IN LOVING MEMORY

It is with profound sadness that we learned of the passing of TISHA LIVEMBE, our alumna who matriculated from McAuley House in 2023.

Our hearts go out to her family and loved ones, as well as to her former classmates and all members of our McAuley House community who knew and cared for her.

She will always be remembered as part of the McAuley family, and her loss is deeply felt by us all.

Please keep her family and all those who are grieving this tremendous loss in your thoughts and prayers.

May she rest peacefully in God’s loving arms.

Kwanele Kwanele!

14/09/2026

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the life of Elizabeth “Tsontso” Moselakgomo, whose life was violently taken from her. We stand in solidarity with her family, loved ones, and all those who knew and loved her.

We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the unnamed women whose lives have also been violently taken. Though we may not know their names, their lives mattered. They were daughters, mothers, sisters, friends, colleagues and loved ones. They were not statistics. They should still be here.

As McAuley House, through our Kwanele Kwanele Initiative, we grieve with those who mourn. But we also refuse to become numb to the violence that continues to take the lives of women and children.

We remember. We mourn. We stand together. And we ask: how many more?

May God grant comfort to every grieving family and eternal rest to those whose lives have been taken.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18

May their names be remembered. May their lives never be reduced to numbers. May justice prevail.

Kwanele. Kwanele- Enough is Enough!

We are incredibly proud of our Marimba and Drumming Band, who achieved an outstanding 2nd place in the Battle of the Bands category at the International Marimba and Steelpan Festival!

With 18 schools from across South Africa competing in this category, this is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of our learners’ talent, dedication, teamwork and love for music.
Congratulations to every member of the band, as well as our dedicated coaches, who have guided and supported them. You represented our school with energy, passion and pride, and we are very proud of you!
