💙 Blue Class Update: Tummy-Time Drawing 💙

Last week our Blue Class had so much fun doing a tummy-time drawing activity on the floor!

Some of our little artists found it tricky to keep their heads up and their shoulders got tired — and that is completely normal. Those neck, shoulder, and back muscles are still growing stronger every day.

Why we love tummy-time drawing:
- Strengthens neck, shoulders, upper back, core & arm muscles
- Builds fine motor skills + hand-eye coordination
- Boosts concentration + shoulder stability for future handwriting
- Supports important pre-writing skills

👉 Try this at home! Lay a big piece of paper or a colouring book on the floor and let your child draw or colour while lying on their tummy. It’s fun, simple, and such a great way to support their development.

The World Cup 2026 spirit hit Pathways Nursery School today! ⚽🔥

We kicked off our very own opening ceremony with the South African national anthem, and our little ones sang it with so much pride! 🇿🇦 Then came the war cries, the cheers, and the play-with-all-your-heart energy that made us beam.

A huge shoutout to our amazing teachers for rallying the troops and bringing the vibe - from face paints to a sea of green and gold for Bafana Bafana! 💚💛 The kids looked absolutely incredible.

Now we’re all ready to cheer Bafana Bafana on tonight against Mexico! Let’s go, boys! ⚽

What a feather-tastic day at Pathways! 🐦✨
A huge thank you to Tania from Eduvet KIDS for today’s amazing educational show! Our little learners discovered how birds use different feathers to fly, stay warm, and stay protected. They were fascinated by bird eggs, the clever social weaver bird nests, and why some birds migrate when it gets cold.
The highlight? Getting creative with play dough, leaves, and sticks to build their very own bird nests! We loved seeing their imagination and care for nature shine through. 🎨
Through it all, the kids learned to be kind to birds and appreciate the amazing things they do every day. Their curiosity made this theme so special!

Fire Engine Fun at Pathways! 🚒🔥

What an exciting day at Pathways Nursery School! Today we had a special visit from SCP Fire and Rescue, and the children were absolutely thrilled.

A huge thank you to Dale and Hanu for being so amazing and teaching our children such important lessons about fire safety, and for showing us their fire engine up close 🚒

Hanu and Dale showed us how firefighters help keep us safe, and taught us some key tips:
- Remember the emergency number: 112
- Stop, Drop, and Roll if your clothes catch fire
- What to do and how to stay safe in an emergency

The children got to see the fire engine in action, watch the ladder come down, sit inside, and pose for photos in front of it. They even learned about the oxygen masks and gear firefighters wear, and got practical tips for staying safe at home and at school.

Thank you again to SCP Fire and Rescue for making safety fun, memorable, and hands-on for our little ones! 💛

Eye Buddies Visit at Pathways Nursery School! 👁️✨

Today was all about healthy eyes and big smiles at Pathways!

Eye Buddies came to do vision and eye screening for our little ones, and they finished off with an educational puppet show that was both interesting and a lot of fun. The kids were completely engaged, learning about looking after their eyes while laughing along with the show.

A special thank you to Jenito for his care, patience, and for teaching even the teachers something new today. We really appreciate the time and heart you put into it!

Mother’s Day Picnic at Pathways Nursery School 💛

Today we celebrated our beautiful mums with a very special Mother’s Day picnic!

The children performed lovely mommy’s day songs, sang their hearts out, and recited sweet poems just for their moms. Our principal shared a delightful talk about the importance of the fruits of the Spirit in our lives and in the lives of our children — a beautiful reminder of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Mums had time to relax, socialise, and get to know each other while enjoying the little goodies they brought for their picnic blankets and sharing them with their little ones.

It was a morning full of laughter, love, and togetherness. Thank you to all our amazing mums for making it so special!
