Yesterday, our Grade 1 to Grade 5 learners enjoyed a wonderful interactive Nelson Mandela Day show, where they learned about the inspiring life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.

Through storytelling, music and engaging activities, our learners discovered the values of courage, kindness, forgiveness and making a positive difference in the world.

They loved every moment of this memorable experience! ❤️💚💛

Meaningful change begins when people come together with a shared purpose. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾

As we count down to the Knight Run this Nelson Mandela Day, we are looking forward to an afternoon that celebrates community, compassion and the power of giving back.

Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Pridwin Preparatory School for the time, care and dedication poured into organising this event. Your planning, effort and commitment have made this initiative possible. We also thank our neighbouring schools within the educational precinct Kingsmead College Imagine College Birdhaven for their support and collaboration in bringing it to life.

All proceeds from the Knight Run will support the Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital, helping provide life changing care for children and their families.

Together, we honour Madiba’s legacy through every step, every act of kindness and every moment of shared purpose. ❤️

See you at the start line! 👟😁

Learning to shade doesn’t have to be intimidating. Using familiar line-work designs, students explored colour theory, light sources, tone, negative space and shadow to transform flat images into forms with depth. A playful, low-pressure way to develop technique, confidence and an understanding of how 2D shapes can become 3D forms.

Our students recently lit up the stage with “The Journey of Mind, Heart and Courage,” a heartfelt production inspired by The Wizard of Oz and rooted in themes of growth, courage, and self-discovery.

Every Grade 4–7 student played a part, making it a true celebration of creativity, confidence, and community. From powerful performances to colourful storytelling, each child brought something special to the stage.

With lively Afrikaans songs, energetic Amapiano dance moments, and even a fun teacher performance, the show was full of joy and spirit. Ending with a memorable cameo from our principal as the Wonderful Wizard of Bellavista. 💚
