Yesterday, .lamaqabane , hosted a joint partnership of solidarity to explore and discern meaningful practices of collaboration at St. Benedict’s House in Johannesburg. The gathering explored different theological research and pedagogical practices in relation to black struggles in the continent. We are excited to walk and work towards solidarity with our friends from (a) University of South Africa, (b)Vukani Bantu/Tsohang Batho, (c) Advanced Studies on Apartheid and Colonialism, (d) Council of World Mission in the coming years.

Last week Pokie and Mzi attended the annual solidarity hub and critical conversation hosted by ACT Ubumbano in Johannesburg.

This space explores ways of fostering solidarity praxis from SADC region countries and communities. Mzi is part of ACT Ubumbano’s board and serves in the capacity to integrate Iziko Lamaqabane’s solidarity practice in collaboration with other social movements in the SADC region.

Arusha, Tanzania 🇹🇿… it was a joy to participate in a collaborative initiative with to explore ways of learning from and with leaders in the Great Lakes region (Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi, DRC, including Sudan, Nigeria and South Africa) on theologies of peace and justice in Africa.

Mzi reflected with the cohort on the meaning of decolonial pedagogical praxis of solidarity in the work of peace and justice.
