Our junior phase has been learning all about farm animals these past few weeks, and they were so excited to have the farm come to school!
Farmers Harold and Golden taught them all about the farm animals that they’d brought to Lighthouse Christian School and even let them touch and ride them too 🐴
What a fun day discovering the real world of farm animals and everything that they do.
You’re invited to our Open Hour, this Friday at 8am.
Take a walk through Lighthouse Christian School and then come see it in real life.
Every Friday from 8am, we open our doors for parents to experience school life exactly as it is. No rehearsed presentations. No staged performances. Just a real day at Lighthouse — in full swing.
Here’s what your Friday visit includes:
🎺 Join us for our morning assembly
🤝 A one-on-one meeting with our principal
🏫 A personal tour of the school and facilities
👧 And if you want — arrange for your child to attend school with us for the day

Wisdom starts with a teachable heart. May our children grow in knowledge, character, and the ways of the Lord.

Learning looks different for every child ✏️📚
Our recent study workshop gave parents practical tools and insight into the different study styles and learning methods that can help their children thrive academically. From understanding how children process information to discovering effective study techniques, it was a valuable time of learning and encouragement.
We are so grateful to journey alongside our parents as we equip and support our learners for success, both inside and outside the classroom.
Fridays are bakers day for our junior phase 🧁
Some days, our kind parents send a yummy baked item for the class to share and enjoy, other days it’s a sweet activity for sticky fingers and growing fine motor skills 🖐️
👂Listen to the sweet conversations and curious comments in the classroom. This is an atmosphere where freedom, love and inquisitive minds are encouraged.

Identity Quest is a program we run every Tuesday morning. This is a special time dedicated to discovering who they are through God’s undiluted Word.
In a world that constantly tries to define them, we believe children need a firm foundation rooted in biblical truth.
This morning we discussed a simple truth that many of us struggle with - allowing Jesus to carry your burdens for you and allowing the Holy Spirit to love, lead and guide you.
The breakaway sessions are a great time to see where each age group is at and what they are dealing with, in their respective peer groups.
We are passionate about raising a generation that knows who they are and the incredible value they have in Christ. 💛🖤

We were excited to host our very first Subject Choice Evening for our Grade 9 learners and their families.
It was a valuable opportunity to explore future pathways, discuss subject selections and equip our learners to make informed decisions as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey.
As a school, we are grateful to be growing and expanding. In 2027, we will proudly welcome our very first Grade 10 class, marking another significant milestone in the development of our high school.

Through our Jars of Hope initiative, our learners and families came together to provide practical support to those facing food scarcity in our communities.
Each jar was carefully filled with dry, non-perishable soup ingredients, creating a simple but nourishing meal for a family in need. More than just food, these jars carry a message of compassion, generosity, and hope.
As we teach our children to love their neighbours and serve others, we are reminded that when we give with willing hearts, we become the hands and feet of Jesus.
Thank you to every single one of our the families at LCS for their donations towards our initiative.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” – 1 John 3:18
