This Sunday, 14 June 2026, the ETDP SETA proudly cheers on two of our own, Mr Mabu Raphotle, Chief Operations Officer and Ms Nokukhanya Ntombela, KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Office Intern, as they take on the Comrades Marathon 2026.
Taking on the Comrades is no small feat. It takes courage, commitment, discipline and heart and we are incredibly proud to see our colleagues embrace this journey.
As they hit the road, we celebrate not only their endurance, but also the importance of healthy living, wellness and staying active.

In two days, a shared vision becomes a reality at Eastcape Midlands College- Corporate profile.
The ETDP SETA-funded 4IR Centre of Excellence and the merSETA Social-funded Learning Factory will bring practical training closer to students and artisans, helping them gain the confidence and skills needed for today’s industries and tomorrow’s opportunities.

The ETDP SETA was honoured to attend and exhibit at the Central University of Technology, Free State (CUT) first Vice-Chancellor and SRC Scholarship Luncheon.
The event brought together partners, sponsors, government leaders, student representatives and the university community, all committed to helping students succeed through education.
As one of the major donors supporting annual bursaries, the ETDP SETA also assists students with unpaid fees, helping them obtain their certificates and move forward into the world of work.
By working with institutions such as CUT, the ETDP SETA continues to create opportunities that empower students and contribute to meaningful social impact.

The ETDP SETA is pleased to join Eastcape Midlands TVET College in counting down to the official launch of the 4IR Centre of Excellence and Learning Factory.
As South Africa observes Youth Month, these initiatives highlight the importance of creating meaningful opportunities for young people to gain practical and future-focused skills that respond to the changing world of work.
The 4IR Centre of Excellence, funded by ETDP SETA and the Learning Factory, funded by merSETA Social, will support technology-driven training for students and artisans in areas such as robotics and automation, mechatronics, CNC machining, 3D printing, IoT technology and drone technology.
