Our students have returned safely from an unforgettable Cambodia 2026 Expedition, bringing home lasting memories, new perspectives and plenty of stories to share.

From exploring the vibrant streets of Phnom Penh and discovering the historic temples of Siem Reap to standing in awe of Angkor Wat, the expedition offered our students an incredible blend of adventure, cultural immersion and learning.

Beyond the sightseeing, students continued to embrace opportunities to make a meaningful contribution through community and environmental projects, encounters with Cambodia’s remarkable wildlife, and opportunities to deepen their understanding of the country’s history, people and culture.

The journey also ended with a heartfelt farewell to the wonderful local guides who supported our students throughout the expedition, sharing their knowledge, caring for the group and helping to make the experience so memorable.

We are incredibly proud of our students for approaching each experience with curiosity, compassion, resilience and a spirit of adventure.

Welcome home to our Cambodia 2026 adventurers!

On 21 August 2026, five of our current Music students, Matthias Hassam, Remofiloe Baloyi, Rorisang Sigedle, Leago Maselela, Lily Weissenberger, together with alumnus Sandile Nzimande, had the wonderful opportunity to perform as part of the University of Pretoria Symphony Orchestra’s annual concert.

Performing alongside approximately 150 musicians, they took part in an exciting programme featuring much-loved film scores from Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, How to Train Your Dragon and The Lord of the Rings, among many others.

Opportunities such as these give our students the chance to collaborate with experienced musicians, strengthen their ensemble skills and gain valuable insight into music-making at university and professional level.

We are incredibly proud of our students and alumnus for representing the St Peter’s College Music Department with such distinction. Experiences like these not only develop musicianship, but also inspire our young musicians as they continue to explore and shape their musical journeys.

On 8 August, Anderson London proudly received his official South African Colours at the Street Dance Association (SDA) capping ceremony, a significant milestone, with the SDA being an official associate member of the Federation of DanceSport South Africa.

Just days later, Anderson took to the world stage, representing the Green and Gold at the UDO World Championships in Blackpool, UK, from 12-16 August, where he competed across various hip-hop categories.

His duo reached the semi-finals, placing them among the Top 12 in the world, while he earned a call back in his solo to Prelims 2 in the U16 Intermediate category. He also competed in the 2v2 battles, taking on more than 60 teams, and represented Gauteng in the U18 group section, where the team placed third.

Representing South Africa on the world stage has always been Anderson’s dream, and we are incredibly proud to see him achieve this. What an unforgettable experience and an incredible milestone in his dance journey!

Well done, Anderson!
We can’t wait to see where your passion, talent and determination take you next.
