The Department of Roads and Transport is recruiting unemployed youth with a minimum of Grade 10 for 2-year opportunities in the Provincial Youth Services Programme. (People living with disability are welcome to apply)

The academy was formed after identifying the need of accounting structure within the community. Accounting seems to be a challenging subject in our local schools and has been proven by the previous year’s matric results. There is a Chinese proverb that says – The right time to plant trees was twenty years back, but because we never knew how badly we will need trees in twenty years later, we did not plant them. As the Gauteng accounting academy we realised that learners make their subject choice in grade 10 and this will be a good start to pave their way to good careers. If we look at South Africa today it is the lack of experience which makes it difficult for learners to be employed and the Academy is aimed at bringing light to the community as a platform of exposing learners to a practical working environment. The learners will be working closely with the entrepreneurs and helping them in bettering their business operations. The accounting graduates will be encouraged to volunteer to work with experienced bookkeepers to gain experience

If you interested please inform us on time as we want to arrange topics to cover during these revision. Tertiary students for now our tutorials are on appointments as we have few numbers, so you can make arrangement with us. Thank you all

I wonder if Accounting learners from grade 10 - 12 are aware of the following school responsibilities before they can be taught this subject?
Requirements to offer Accounting as a subject
It is the responsibility of the school to provide the resources to offer Accounting as a subject.
(a) Each learner should have:
- a textbook
- Accounting stationery or workbook
- a calculator.
(b) The teacher should have:
- a variety of textbooks for reference
- policies, e.g. summary of King Code III
- partnership agreement
- legislation, e.g. Companies Act 71 of 2008
- codes of professional bodies, e.g. SAICA and SAIPA Codes
- SARS brochures
- bank brochures
- access to a computer and the internet.
How many teachers that meet the above mentioned requirements?
