This Youth Day, we honour the courage, sacrifice and resilience of the young people of 1976, whose determination helped shape the democratic South Africa we live in today.
At Sacred Heart, we are proud to carry forward their legacy by nurturing young people who lead with compassion, integrity, courage and a commitment to social justice. As we commemorate 50 years of youth resilience, we celebrate the role of young people in driving positive change and building a more just and inclusive society.
May the spirit of the youth of 1976 continue to inspire every student to use their voice, embrace their potential and make a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond.

🔬 Exploring the Particle Model of Matter! 🧪
Our Grade 6 students put science into action as they investigated the spaces between particles using marbles, sand, water, and coffee powder. Through hands-on experimentation, they discovered that all matter is made up of tiny particles with spaces between them, a fundamental concept in Natural Sciences.
By observing, predicting, and drawing conclusions from their findings, students developed important scientific thinking and inquiry skills while bringing classroom learning to life.
