I took this picture on an early morning forest walk in northern Italy, on a valley slope of the birthplace of my parents. The Japanese have long understood the benefits of shinrin-yoku or forest bathing.

When I'm in Italy, I go out of my way to find the best artisanal gelato in town and I give myself FULL permission to indulge and savour every morsel for the pure sensory JOY it brings me. Artisanal gelato in Italy is usually made in small family businesses with care and commitment to the customer enjoying the flavours, ingredients and the fruits of their labour. My joy in indulging in it, gives the gelato maker joy too.... ripples of joy from simply enjoying a gelato! What do you do to invite JOY into your life daily?
