TAROKO TRAIL PARK was buzzing with excitement as the Gauteng Schools Cycling event number 5 flooded the trails with the dedicated and determined riders. Wind, cold and dark clouds weren’t going to stop these superheroes! They showed up ready to dig deep, putting in every pedal stroke and taking on this fantastic course with determination, grit and plenty of heart.

The conditions may have tested them, but these riders proved once again that the toughest days often create the strongest memories.

Ride hard. Ride proud. Never stop chasing that next pedal stroke. Thank you for your passion!

Suns in, bikes out. Our holiday riders soaked up the trails and took home a whole lot of new skills and confidence. From Steyn City to Fourways Gardens to Taroko trails and Cradlemoon, we put the fun to the test! Well done everyone and thank you for the amazing August together!

Are you ready? TAROKO TRAIL PARK is waiting for you. Their first Wednesday evening ride kicked off yesterday and Gauteng Schools Cycling is about to descend on the trails on Saturday. There are loads of awesome trails to ride, a lekker coffee shop, delicious pizza’s, muffins, rusks, Create cafe and Fourways farmers market. A fabulous day out for family and friends. Whether you walk or ride. Enjoy the magical outdoors the space has to offer!

The mental strength in Hugo is phenomenal. 💪🚵‍♂️

He’s putting in the work, showing up consistently and, most importantly, learning with every ride. Finishing the race with a flat front tyre after picking up glass on the track would be enough to rattle anyone, but Hugo just kept going and crossed the finish line in an incredible 5th place. 👏🔥

That never-give-up attitude is so strong in this phenomenal little rider. But what makes us even prouder is what happens after the race.

Our post-ride session was filled with fantastic questions, thoughtful reflection and a genuine desire to understand, improve and become better. That hunger to learn is something special.

Hugo, keep asking questions, keep putting in the work and keep believing in yourself. We are incredibly proud of you!
