It can be difficult to stay motivated while managing the demands of your studies, as well as personal or emotional challenges. Motivation is not about feeling inspired all the time; rather, it is about taking small, consistent steps towards your goals, even on difficult days.

The Centre for Psychological Services and Career Development (PsyCaD) at the University of Johannesburg encourages you to build positive habits, maintain perspective, and seek support when needed. Setbacks are a natural part of the journey, and with grit and perseverance, you can bounce back even stronger. Stay inspired, believe in yourself, and keep moving forward—one step at a time.

Today, the PsyCaD team spent 67 Minutes for Change giving back through the PsyCaD Walk-In Closet Drive.

Together with our PsyCaD Ambassadors, we re-organised the Walk-In Closet, sorted donations, and packed newly donated professional clothing, shoes, and accessories that will help students prepare for interviews, networking events, and their future careers.

It was great to see everyone come together in support of a simple but meaningful initiative that continues to make a real difference in the lives of our students.

A big thank you to everyone who donated and to the PsyCaD staff and Ambassadors who rolled up their sleeves and got involved today. Every contribution helps us build confidence, create opportunities, and support student success🧡
