Not the result we wanted tonight.πŸ’”
But the story is not over yet.

Keep your heads up, Bafana Bafana. There is still football to be played, points to be won, and a nation standing firmly behind you.

We'll be ready for the next game. πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦βš½πŸ”₯

πŸš¦πŸ’™ Ukhanyiso Primary School

β€œWhy is it so important to look both ways before crossing the road?”

At Ukhanyiso Primary today, that simple question opened a flood of honest answers. With 502 learners gathered for the Motus Road Safety Program, each child connected this lesson to their own daily routines. They talked about waiting at intersections, looking out for younger siblings, and even reminding parents to buckle up.🚸

What I felt most was this: every time a learner says, β€œI will look before crossing,” or β€œI will remind others to be safe,” that’s where change begins.

Thank you to the principal, educators, and learners of Ukhanyiso for creating such a welcoming space. And a huge shout-out to the Community Traffic Officers and EMPD who stand with us, showing that every safe choice counts.

With 776 learners in the Motus Road Safety Program, it was powerful to see how each child took this lesson to heart. They shared stories; how they remind their parents, how they make a habit of fastening seat belts, and how they promise themselves to stay safe.

This is what road safety is about; starting young, speaking up, and making every ride, every walk, a safer one.🚸

A warm thank you to the principal, educators, and learners at Kumalo Primary for their commitment. And a heartfelt thank you to the Community Traffic Officers and EMPD whose dedication makes these conversations possible.

At St Benedict's College πŸ’™β™₯️🀍

This is what an average weekend looks like for the Active Education Coaching Team.

While many were keeping warm indoors, our coaches were out on the sidelines supporting learners, encouraging participation, and helping create an environment where young players could simply enjoy the game they love.

The cold weather may have been present, but it certainly wasn't enough to keep these learners off the field. From the first whistle to the final moments of the tournament, there was no shortage of energy, determination, teamwork, and plenty of smiles along the way.

Between matches, teammates encouraged one another, celebrated good play, and shared in the excitement that comes with representing their school. These are the moments that make school sport so valuable; not just the goals scored or matches played, but the confidence built, friendships strengthened, and lessons learned along the way.

At Active Education, we believe every sporting opportunity is a chance for learners to grow. Whether it's on the training field, at a tournament, or during Physical Education lessons, movement creates opportunities for young people to develop resilience, teamwork, leadership, and self-belief.

Because being active isn't just something we teach; it's something we live, no matter the season.🀩
